With the announcement and unveiling of several new cars, and multiple interactive displays and booths, FCA’s presence at the New York Auto Show is strong especially with the Jeep brand.
At the auto show’s press day on March 23, Jeep broke the news of its expansion to the Grand Cherokee trims with the new Trailhawk — which is considered the most capable factory-produced Grand Cherokee ever.
Inspired by the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk concept that was introduced at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari in Utah, the new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is equipped with many features for off-roading. Among some of the included features are Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system with rear Electronic Limited Slip Differential (ELSD) for all powertrains, a unique version of Grand Cherokee’s Quadra-Lift air suspension – developed for the Trailhawk. Trailhawk-specific anti-glare hood decal and skid plates are also standard.
Jeep also revealed the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and all of the new luxury features that now come standard on the trim. The 2017 Grand Cherokee Summit boasts a new exterior look with an updated front fascia, grille and LED fog lamps, and new 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. Additionally, the Summit will now have a full-wrap Laguna leather interior that will be available in four different color schemes.
Both of the new Grand Cherokee models are scheduled to arrive at Jeep dealerships across the nation in late summer.
